I am not a superhero

I try to think I am, but in doing so I take away my greatest strength --- fear --and my ability to overcome it through sheer determination. Superheros may be powerful, but they aren't brave in the way any of us are when we roll up our sleeves, do whats gonna hurt and through the pain and the fear, we repeat that process again, and again.
I guess this is important for me to remind myself because this past week i have been reallly beating myself up. Telling myself I am weak, I am a loser, I am a nobody and I am just worthless. I keep citing all of the things I have gotten wrong lately and how powerless I really am to the greater being of life -----and it has wore me down. But something in me today reminded myself that everything i just listed is a normal part of being a human being who isnt just struggling, but is trying. And regardless if I fail, or lose, or find myself back here next year --- I woke up each morning trying to change my life and that counts more then anything ---so, in todays note to self ----- Andrew, you are not superman ---and that is truly, truly, truly A-fucking-okkkkkkk.
